A Moment of Reflection

This is simply a time to pause and share my heart.

Hi everyone!

This week I won't be sharing a poem. Instead I thought we would have a chat.

This year has been an eventful one. I've created my first website (with help, of course), published my first book - which I'm really excited about - and learned so many valuable lessons and gained new insights along the way.

After laying poetry aside for a long time, I finally picked it back up last year. With a few nudges from some wonderful individuals, which I believe were God-led, I also decided to continue writing the chapbook 'Behind the Mask', which had lain dormant for a while, and which is now available on Amazon.

Was I nervous? Yes. Was I a little afraid? Yes.

However, I didn't allow those feelings to stop me from moving forward anymore. I trusted God would bring me through the entire process, and he did. He also brought such amazing people into my life to make this book a reality.

Creating the website was a bit daunting as well, but I thank God for helpers He placed in my life. A wonderful friend and sister in Christ helped me to build it and understand the process of setting everything up. We had a few hiccups along the way, but everything came together, and Poetic Nuances was born. I'm still learning as I go, but it has been both fun and rewarding.

Each step of this journey has taught me patience, faith and the importance of trusting that God is in control. Some days are tiring, especially coming home after work and then spending time writing, working on the website, and taking care of household chores. Yet, through it all, God has been faithful. He has strengthened me, kept me and by His grace I continue to press on despite everything.

One of the lessons I've learned through this whole process is this: Keep Going.

Even when you feel like stopping, procrastinating, or spending time on things that don't really matter, keep moving forward one step at a time.

So I'll end with this word of encouragement:

Keep going, never give up, and trust the Lord to direct your path.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
