Abel's blood cried...

calling out for vengeance,

from deep within the earth.

His blood soaked the dusty ground.

But where is the trace of the one,

whom the earth cursed for it?

Cain, oh Cain,

your anger has destroyed you;

the soul exposed your envy.

You saw red -

murder was in your heart,

and it came with a price...

roaming the earth like a vagabond.

Then there's that garden,

the one called Gethsemane -

the place where one man lost his ear;

a sword now stained with red.

But mercy spoke; an ear restored,

before the final act of love.

Still there's another,

His blood too soaked the earth -

not for retribution...

He did it to save mankind.

The last Adam -

a man of sorrows; acquainted with grief.

His blood ran down the wooden beam,

shame was on display.

Love's greatest triumph,

echoing through time.

Yes, Jesus, the man crucified on the tree.

His blood; our redemption.

One life exchanged for many.

Red crosses are illuminated with light.
Red crosses are illuminated with light.
