Daughter of the King

'Daughter of the King' is a declaration of identity, faith, and belonging. It reflects on what it means to know whose you are, surrender to God, and walk boldly into who He has called you to be.

Royal blood speaks inside of me;

a holy nation, a chosen generation.

It flows through my very being,

it enters my bones declaring whose I am.

I lift my head up high;

bold...

looking to my Father,

who holds the worlds in His hands,

and I smile -

pressing my feet to the earth

as it hums, waiting...

for the manifestation of sons and daughters.

My life has become His.

Every breath connects me to Him,

I have become His weapon -

my hands wage war, my fingers fight.

I humble myself before my Father,

though pride wants to overcome me,

but I understand I am not my own,

I did not bring forth myself.

I honour Him as my Father,

reverence Him as my King,

I know Him, yet I still learn Him,

I am so small in His gentle hands.

He protects me under His wings,

His mercy has kept me,

I walk into who He has called me -

I am the daughter of the King.

Reflections:

The world can give us many names, expectations, and definitions of who we should be, but our deepest identity is found in the God who created and called us.

To be a daughter of the King is more than just a title. It speaks of someone with character, humility, and confidence - someone who knows when to surrender while still being willing to fight, and who remembers that they are held even as they step into their calling.

We may feel small, uncertain, or unworthy. Yet the hands that hold us are gentle, and the God who calls us is faithful.
